Council BuSiness <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Com~cil meeting back to order at 7:25 p.m. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski advised staff understands that Oak Terrace Estates will be submitting a <br />waiver of the sixty day period between the close of the public hearit~g and the ordering of this <br />proje, t. Based upon this anticipated action it is the recommendation of staff that the City <br />Council order the preparation of plans and specifications for Improvement Project 02-40. <br /> <br />Councihncmber Pearson asked if the estimated costs are cu~Tent or 2002 costs. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied the estimated costs were updated in July of 2005. <br /> <br />Motion by Couucilmember Cook, seconded by Com~cilraember Olson, to adopt Resolution 05- <br />07-227 ordering the preparation of plans and specifications for hnprovement Project 02-40. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Com~cilmembers Cook, Olson, Elvig, Jeffi:cy, <br />Pearsou, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case//3: <br /> <br />Request !~) Rezone Propertn/from R-1 Single Family Residential to Planned <br />U~fit Development; Case of National Gro~th <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon indicated Case Nos. 3 and 4 are related. Case No. <br />3 is the request to rezone property from R-1 Single Family Residential to Plarmed Unit <br />Development, aud Case No. 4 is the request for preliminary plat and site plan approval of Rum <br />River l~;states. There was a lot of discussion at the last meeting, and the Council adopted <br />findings of l'act in support of the rezoning. After more discussion the Council tabled any further <br />~tctioja. itc indicated there is still discussion to be had about Potassium Street, and he will answer <br />any questions of the Council. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman reviewed that there was direction from the Council to meet with the <br />Comity regarding access onto CR 5. The County h~dicated they would allow a one for one <br />exehallge on tile access. <br /> <br />Mayor Oamec noted at the last Council meeting there was discussion that the ability to remove <br />the lilt station clue to the sewer being put in would likely waive the negatives of the cul-de-sac <br />length. Tile main discussion was about Quicksilver Circle extending out to Highway 5, or <br />Potassium Street being improved. <br /> <br />Councihnembcr Strommen ktated site apologizes to the Com~cil and the residents that she was <br />absent at thc last meeting due to a work conflict. She saw the discussion regarding the cul-de-sac <br />icugth, and still b.as issues with the length of the cul-de-sac. She still feels there could have been <br />a better job done witlt the buffering for the established homes. Regarding the Shade Tree and <br />Polassium Street issue, she would be in favor of extending Quicksilver Circle to Highway 5.
