Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06.-05- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # <br />REQUEST TO ALLOW FOR OUTDOOR STOi-DkGE <br />SURFACE ON A PARCEL ZONED R-1 RESIDENTIAL <br /> <br /> RELATING TO A <br />ON AN UNIMPROVED <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, RV World, Inc., hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has properly applied <br /> to the City of Ramsey (the "City") for an interim use permit for outdoor storage on an <br /> unimproved surface the property located at 14453 LIama St NW legally described as lbllows: <br /> <br /> The Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 29, Township 32, Range <br /> 25, Anoka Couuty, Mi~mesota. <br /> <br /> (the "Subject Property") <br /> <br /> ?'~'OW THEREFORE, BE IT R_ESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIl_, OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOIC~k COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> I. That thc Applicant appeared before the Planuing Cmmnission for a public hearing pursuant <br /> to Section 9.03.06 ol~ the Ramsey City Code on May 4, 2006, and that the public hearing was <br /> properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by <br /> reference. <br /> <br />2. That the Subject Property is zoned R-1 Residential; the adjacent parcels to the east, west, and <br /> south are zoned R-1 Residential a~d the propm~y to the north is zoned B-2 Business. <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property is approximately forty (40) acres. <br /> <br />4. That the Applicant operates au RV dealership located at 7405 Highway i0 NW: <br /> <br />5. That the Applicant has an agreement with the owner of the Subject Property to utilize the <br /> land for of±:.site storage of surplus Recreational Vehicles (RVs) and travel trailers. <br /> <br />6. That the R-I Residential District does not permit this type o£outdoor storage. <br /> <br />7. That the RVs and travel trailers am cun'ently stored on an unimproved surface on the Sul/iect <br /> Property. <br /> <br />8. That interim use permits, by definition, are limited to a maxinrnm timeframe of five (5) years. <br /> <br />9. That the Applicant is requesting an interim use permit to allow for the storage of up to sixty <br /> (60) RVs and/or travel trailers on the Subject Property for five (5) years. <br /> <br />10. That the City has issued two interim use permits for outdoor storage as a secondary principal <br /> use on a parcel zoned E-2 Employment tire past two years. While those permits were secured <br /> by a diPferent appliem~t, their pnrpose was to allow RV World, Inc., the current Applicant, to <br /> store sut~plus RVs and/or travel trailers ofiS.s.ite. <br /> <br /> <br />
