JD PxJ~T <br /> <br />Anoka County Contract No. 2006- <br /> <br /> JOINT POWERS AGREE>FENT <br /> FOR RIGHT~OF-WAY ACQUISITION <br /> FOR TJfg FUTURJ~; <br /> NORTHWEST METRO CORRIDOR AND RIVTF2~ CROSSING <br /> OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER AT TI{ 10 <br />AND CO U~NT¥ STATE AID IIIGIIWAY 83 (ARMSTRONG BOULEVA1LD) <br /> <br /> TIt IS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this __ day of_ _, 2006 by and <br />between the County of Anoka, a political subdivision of the State of Minnesota, 2100 Third Avenue, Anoka, <br />Minnesota 55303, hereinafter referred to as "County", and the City ofRamsey, a municipal corporation <br />under tho laws of the State of Minnesota, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard, Ramsey, Minnesota 55303, <br />hereinafter re fen'ed to as the "City". <br /> <br />WITh-ES SETF~ <br /> <br /> WI.JEI{EAS, the County and the City abq-ee that it is in the best interest of the public to provide plans <br />lbr geometric and capacity improvements for a future interchange for the Northwest Metro Corridor and <br />Mississippi Rwer Crossing at TH l0 and CSAH 83 (Armstrong Boulevard) ( Interchan~,e ) and, <br /> <br /> WI. IER_I?.AS, the County and tile City also a~-ee that it is in the best interest of the public to secure <br />the necessary r/gilt of way tbr the construction of'the futerchange when it becomes available; and <br /> <br /> WIiISREAS, real property identified as PLN Nos. 29-32-25--21-0002 and 29-32-25-24-0001, ~vhich are <br />] :i'sally described in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto, is needed for the construction of the Interchange and <br />is availabie roi' purchase (" ~nterchange Property."); and, <br /> <br /> V~'IFd,¥J. AS, the City and County agree that it is in the best interest of the public to purchase the <br />Iotcrchange Propm ty at this time and to share in the cost of the acquisition as hereinafter provided; and <br /> <br /> WIlEREAS, Minn.
