Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />RZSOLUTION APPROVING 2ND PARTIAL PAYMENT TO LATOUR <br />CONSTRUCFION AND RELEASE OF RETAINAGE TO SECURITIES AMERICA FOR <br />PROJECT #03-20 NW SA.NITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN EXTENSION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the desigm of this project was authorized by the City Council at their May <br />i i, 2004 regular City Council meeting; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a public participation pro,am was authorized by the City Council at their <br />December 6, 2004 regular City Council meeting; and <br /> <br /> WttEREAS, a public informational meeting was held on February 7, 2005, at Ramsey <br />Fire Statior~ No. 1 which outlined 5 alternative alignments; and <br /> <br /> ? ? <br /> WItLRLAS, a Option No. 3 was selected and author/zed by t~'uncil at their <br />April 12th, 2005 regular City Conncil meeting; and <br /> <br /> WtlEREAS, on January 10, 2006 City Council adopted Resolution #06-01-011 <br />approving plans and specifications and authorizing advertisement for bids; and <br /> <br /> WflEREAS, on February 2gth, 2006 the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #06- <br />02-069 awarding the contract to LaTour Construction; and <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, 2nd partial paymeut will be paid as such; to LaTour Construction in the <br />amount of S395,09.~.38 and Secm'ities America for retainage of $31,320.70 for a total payment of <br />~626,414.08. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEYi AI'4OIC,~ COUNTY, STATE OF lVIINNESOTA~ as follows: <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to LaTour Construction and <br />Securities America for improvement Project #03~20 in the amount of $626,414.08. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Thzk the City Council hereby accepts the project and author/zes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bil!s for the date of May 23, 2006. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />That tlxe City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this <br />resplutiom <br /> <br />Thc motJo'n for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> ., and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-05-X~XX <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> -87- <br /> <br /> <br />
