Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #23-189 RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #1 FOR BARTHEL’S RUM RIVER ND ACRES 2 STREET RECONSTRUCTIONS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #23-05 WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct the streets within the Barthel’s nd Rum River Acres 2 subdivision; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-202, adopted August 23, 2022, City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Hakanson Anderson for Topographic Survey of the project area; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-204, adopted August 23, 2022, the City Council awarded a contract to Haugo Geotechnical Services to prepare a nd geotechnical report for Improvement Project #23-05, Barthel’s Rum River Acres 2 Addition Street Reconstructions, including 13 soil borings and pavement cores; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-286, adopted December 13, 2022, the City Engineer was ordered to prepare plans and specifications for Improvement nd Project #23-05, Barthel’s Rum River Acres 2 Addition Street Reconstructions; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-047 adopted February 28, 2023, the City Council awarded Haugo Geotechnical Services an addendum to the current contract for said project and plans and specs have been updated with said information; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-082, adopted April 25, 2023, the City Council approved plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer authorized advertisement for bids for same improvements; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-104, adopted May 23, 2023, the City Council awarded a contract to Douglas-Kerr Underground, L.L.C. for construction of the improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications for a total bid of $1,198,428.85; and WHEREAS, approval to amend the plans to complete re-grading of a swale as necessary to control storm water runoff from the street to existing drainage & utility easement on the south th side of 164 Avenue NW west of Junkite Street NW, with Change Order #1 for said Improvement nd Project #23-05, Barthel’s Rum River Acres 2 Street Reconstructions. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) The Ramsey City Council hereby approves the amendment to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer per Change Order #1 for Improvement nd Project #23-05, Barthel’s Rum River Acres 2 Street Reconstructions.
