Councilman Cox introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION 79-55 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the im- <br />provement of storm sewer along Tungsten Street N.W. and Front Street <br />N.W., bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and <br />the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />Forest Lake Contracting <br />Kirkwood Construction Company <br />Burschville Construction Company <br />Dawson Construction Company <br />Walhunt Construction <br />Sam-Con Corporation <br /> <br />$41,935.00 <br /> 42,625.00 <br /> 48,944.00 <br /> 49,790.00 <br /> 50,395.00 <br /> 69,240.00 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Forest Lake Contracting is the <br />lowest bidder at $41,935.00 <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA: <br /> <br /> 1) The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to <br />enter into the attached contract with Forest Lake Contracting in the <br />name of the City of Ramsey for the improvement of storm sewer along <br />Tungsten Street N.W. and Front Street N.W., according to the plans and <br />specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the <br />office of the city clerk. <br /> <br /> 2) The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to re- <br />turn forthwith to all bidders-the deposits made with their bids, except <br />'that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder <br />shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilman Reimann, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, and <br />Cox. Councilman Mickelson was absent. <br /> <br />and the following voted against the sane: None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the <br />Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of August, 1979. <br /> <br /> Mayor <br />ATTEST' <br /> <br /> <br />
