Councilman Cox introduced the following resolution and moved for its adopt ion: RESOLUTION 80-7 CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA. COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION COMMENDING COUNTY COMMISSIONER EDWARD FIELDS WHEREAS, the City Council and Citizens of the City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota recognize the enormous amomat of initiative that Commissioner Fields has displayed over the years in the development of the City's transportation system exemplified as follows: 1) The upgrading of Sunfish Lake Boulevard to a first class thoroughfare. 2) The creating of Industrial Boulevard which now serves as a major thoroughfare. 3) The upgrading of numerous other thoroughfares and intersections to better serve the City of Ramsey. AND WHEREAS, the City Council and Citizens of the City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota recognize that Commissioner Fields has tremendous perception in recognizing the socio needs of the community he serves and recognize his perseverance in seeing these needs satisfied. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The Ramsey City Council on behalf of the Citizens of Ramsey, hereby commends Anoka County Commissioner Edward Fields for the outstanding job he has done and continues to do in representing his commmaity as an Anoka Coanty Commissioner. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Reimann, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Reimann, Sorteberg~and Mickelson and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 22nd day of January, 1980. .~ A~mini ~%~rator/C~erk Mayor
