Councilman Sorteberg introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION 80-25 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PRICE QUOTE RECEIVED FOR THE PURCHASE OF A CITY SEDAN AND AWARDING THE QUOTE TO THE LOlgEST PRICE QUOTE/BEST PRICE QUOTE WHEREAS, pursuant to call for price quotes for the purchase of a City sedan the following price quotes were received by the City of Ramsey: Bidder Make/Model Price Quote Elk River Ford Elk River, Minnesota 1980 Ford Granada $6,294.49 Clover Leaf Motors, Inc. Elk River, Minnesota 1980 Chevrolet Malibu $6,308.00 Metro Dodge Anoka, Minnesota 1980 Dodge Aspen $6,469.78 AND WHEREAS~ it appears that Elk River Ford, Elk River, Minnesota, had the lowest price quote. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TH]~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The City Council accepted the price quote of Clover Leaf Motors, Inc., Elk River, Minnesota for the City sedan in the amount of $6,308.00 which was the second lowest price quote. 2) The Cotuncil qualified the above action taken by them due to the fact that the E.P.A. gas mileage rating for the Chevrolet Malibu is 19 miles per gallon vs. Ford Granada 17 miles per gallon which would be a big savings to the City when considering there is only $14 difference in the price quotes. 3) The City Council directed the City Administrator/Clerk to inform all who submitted price quotes of their action. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Reimann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Mayor Gamec, Counci~nen Sorteberg, Reimann, ~ickelson and Cox
