Councilman Cox introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 80- 76 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REGARDING METROPOLITAN WASTE CONTROL COMMISSION SANITARY SEWER <br />INTERCEPTOR LINE THAT WILL SERVE THE SOUTH EAST CORNER OF RAMSF. Y <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission have stated <br />they will provide the City of Ramsey with a second sanitary sewer inter- <br />ceptor connection in the City's south east quadrant at the time the CAB <br />interceptor is built, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission is presently <br />designing the Anoka portion of the CAB interceptor which would provide ser- <br />vice to the area in the City of Anoka which is adjacent to the south east <br />quadrant of Ramsey, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, upon construction of the Anoka portion of the CAB in- <br />terceptor, segments A-3, A-4 and A-6 shown on Figure 10 in the Northwest <br />Area Facility Planning Study Final Report Summary dated June, 1980, the area <br />adjacent to the south east quadrant in the City of Ramsey will be developed <br />and the corridor for the Ramsey Second Connection will be faced with major <br />obstacles which will be costly to overcome at a later date, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has updated their Comprehensive <br />Sewer Plan which shows the need for the Ramsey Second Co~aection, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has been given indications by the <br />Metropolitan Waste Control CoMmission and the Metropolitan Council that the <br />Ramsey Second Connection would be constructed at the time the CAB Inter- <br />ceptor is built and prior to 1985, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has controlled development in the <br />south east quadrant of the City in anticipation of sanitary sewer prior to <br />1985, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Systemwide Analysis and Alternative Assessment <br />Study dated June, 1980, indicates construction of the Ramsey Second Connect- <br />ion between 1987 and 1989. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the second sanitary sewer interceptor service connect- <br />ion which will serve the south east quadrant of the City of Ramsey be in- <br />stalled at the same time when the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission pro- <br />vides service to the City of Anoka by construction of segments A-3, A-4 and <br />A-6 as shown on Figure 10 in the Northwest Area Facility Planning Study Final <br />Report Summary dated June, 1980. <br /> <br /> <br />
