Councilman Sorteberg introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #80-79 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids on the follow- <br />ing street improvement project: <br /> <br /> Project #80-13 consisting of the following street: <br /> <br /> -- 153rd Avenue N.W. between the line of Trunk Highway <br /> #47 and County Road #5 (Nowthen Blvd. N.W.) <br /> <br />and the following bids were considered according to law on the above listed <br />bituminous street surfacing project and the following bids were received <br />complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />Contractor <br /> <br />Total Bid <br /> <br />N.D.H., Inc. <br />Bituminous Consulting & Contracting <br /> <br />$42,087.50 <br />$51,642.00 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that N.D.H., Inc. is the lowest respon- <br />sible bidder of $42,087.50. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) The Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into the attached contract with N.D.H., Inc. in the <br />name of the City of Ramsey for the improvement of the above listed streets <br />in the above listed project according to plans and specifications according <br />to plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on <br />file in the office of the City Administrator/Clerk. <br /> <br /> 2) The City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and <br />directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their <br />bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest <br />bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilman Cox and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmen liickelson, Sorteberg and Cox <br /> <br /> <br />
