Councilman Mickelson introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #80- 117 <br /> <br />ADOPTING RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THE ESTABLISH~V[ENT OF A CITIZENS COMMITTEE <br />TO PREPARE GUIDELINES TO ADMINISTER HUD BLOCK GRANT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County has qualified as an Urban County which <br />qualifies it for the HUD Urban Block Grant, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County has become the administrator of the <br />HUD Urban Block Grant. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the Ramsey City Council requests the Anoka County <br />Board to establish a Citizens Committee and which committee will be made <br />up of one representative from each community. The purpose of this committee <br />would be as follows: <br /> <br />a) To prepare guidelines for the County to administer <br /> the grant. <br /> <br />b) To prepare simplified guidelines for the Communities <br /> to use in applying for the HUD Urban Block Grant. <br /> <br />c) To assure that all communities are treated fairly in <br /> the distribution of the grant. <br /> <br /> 2) That the City Administrator send a copy of this resolution <br />to Commissioner Fields and the Co~unty Administrator. Further that it be <br />placed on the Anoka County Board agenda for their action and that the City <br />of Ramsey be informed of this action. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilman Sorteberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson, Reimann and Cox <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council this the 23rd day of September, 1980. <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br />./ /A~i'ty A~ninis~r:for/Olerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
