Councilman Reim.a. nn introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adopt ion: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #80-127 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, p~rsuant to proper notice duly given as required by <br />law, the Ramsey City Council has met and heard and passed upon all object- <br />ions to the proposed assessment for the improvement of the following streets: <br /> <br />a) Yolite Street N.W. lying between 166th Avenue N.W. <br /> and the South line of the plat of Carol-Rose Acres <br /> <br />b) Xenolith Street lying between 166th Avenue N.W. and <br /> Lots 2, 3 and Park, Block 3 of Sports Haven <br />c) 166th Avenue N.W. lying between Variolite Street N.W. <br /> and the West line of Sports Haven. <br /> <br />d) 165th Lane N.W. lying between Variolite Street N.W. <br /> and Lots 3 and 4 Block 4 of Sports Haven <br /> <br />Ail of the above streets are located in the: <br /> <br />Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 9, <br />Township 32, Range 25 <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the <br />special assessment against the lands named therein, and each tract of land <br />therein included in hereby found to be benefited by the proposed improve- <br />ment in the amount of the assessment levied against it. <br /> <br /> 2) Such assessment shall be payable in equal installments <br />extending over a period of ten years, the first of the installments to be <br />payable on or before the first Monday in January, 1981 and shall bear in- <br />terest at the rate of eight and one-half (8½) per cent annum from the date <br />of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To the first installment <br />shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date of this <br />resolution until December 31, 1990. To each subsequent installment when <br />due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. <br /> <br /> 3) The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time <br />prior to the certification of the a'ssessment to the county auditor, pay the <br />whole of the assessment on such property, with interest accrued to the date <br />of payment, to the city treasurer, except that no interest shall be charged <br />if the entire assessment is paid within thirty (30) days from the adoption <br />of this resolution; and he may, at any time thereafter, pay to the city <br />treasurer the entire amomat of the assessment remaining unpaid, with in- <br />terest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. <br />Such payment must be made before November 14 or interest will be charged <br />through December 31 of the next succeeding year. <br /> <br /> <br />
