Councilman Cox introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #80-135 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUIRING PUBLIC GASOLINE STATIONS TO PROVIDE AIR P~P FACILITIES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the health, safety and <br />welfare of the public is beneficially served by having readily available <br />air pomp facilities for use in maintaining air pressure in vehicle tires; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the economic cost of <br />providing air pomp facilities is relatively small as compared to the con- <br />venience and safety benefit. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That it shall be a City policy to require that as a <br />part of any future development contracts, all new gasoline stations and/or <br />gasoline sales pump facilities include outside all season air pumps cap- <br />able of servicing truck and automobile tires. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilman Reimann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamee, Councilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson, Reimann and <br />Cox <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey <br />Oity Council this the 14%h day of October, 1980. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />A~6r~or <br /> <br />! <br /> <br />/Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
