Councilman Mickelson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #80-144A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFERRING OF CITY CHECKING ACCOUNT FUNDS FROM THE ANOKA FIRST NATIONAL BANK TO ANOKA STATE BANK WHEREAS, the First National Bank of Amoka has %he City of Ramsey checking account with their bank but is located in the City of Anoka~ and WHEREAS, the State Bank of Anoka has established a branch bank in the City of Ramsey which contributes to the tax base of the City~ and WHEREAS, the State Bank of Anoka has agreed to purchase all remaining checks that are printed for the First National Bank of Anoka. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RA~EY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) It is hereby directed by the City Council that ~,J~ayor Gamec will inform the First National Bank of Anoka of the Ramsey City Council's decision to switch the City's checking account from their bank to the Anoka State Bank as that will be feasible and to the best interest of the City of Ramsey. 2) Further, that Mayor Gamec will notify the State Bank of Anoka of the Council action to switch its checking account from the First National Bank of Anoka to the State Bank of Anoka. That the City of Ramsey will bill the State Bank of Anoka for all unused checks that have been printed up for the First National Bank. 3) It is further directed that the City Accountant be in- formed of this action so that the switch in bank checking can be done with- out interrupting City business or investments. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Reimann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson, Reimar~a and Cox and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 20th da_y of October, 1980. - C~A~ ~stra~or/Clerk .....
