Comncilmember Cox introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #81-27 RESOLUTION CO~ENDINGMS. JEANNE MOEN, CITY ACCOUNTANT, FOR HER ATTENTION TO TH~ PERFORMANCE OF HER JOB AS CITY ACCOUNTANT WHEREAS, Ms. Moen in her execution of her duties did go way beyond the normal work routine to audit the property descriptions and market valuation contained in the Elk River fire contract which disclosed wide discrepancies in this contract and which also had a similar affect on the Anoka contract. The savings in tax dollars for the period of the audit (_1978 through 1980) is as follows: a) Elk River Fire Contract ($4,564.00 saved by audit for period indicated above) b) Anoka Fire Contract ($5,248.00 saved by audit for period indicated above) NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RA~,~EY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The Ramsey City Council recognizes the immediate tre- mendous savings in tax dollars and also future saving that will be realized by the audit conducted by Ms. Moen. 2) Consequently, the Ramsey City Co~acil takes great pleasure in commending Ms. Moen in her initiative and the devotion she displays in doing her job as the City Accountant. 3) It is directed that a copy of this resolution be placed her personnel file. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Reimann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Van Wagner, Reimarm and Cox and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 16th day of April, 1981.
