Councilmember Cox introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #81-27a <br /> <br />RESOLUTION COMMENDING POLICE OFFICER THOMAS ANDERSON OF THE RAMSEY POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT FOR LIFE SAVING <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Police Officer Thomas Anderson and Police Officer <br />Michael Eason answered an emergency call %o the Swenson residence at <br />4930 - 179th Avenue N.W., Ramsey, that a child (Timothy Lee Carl Berhow) <br />had drowned in a pond behind the residence. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Police Officer Thomas Anderson and Police Officer <br />Michael Eason immediately commenced giving CPR to Timothy Lee Carl Berhow <br />and as a result of the immediate action of the officers saved the young <br />boy's life. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) We, the Citizens and the City Council of the City of <br />Ramsey take great honor in commending you in saving the life of Timothy <br />Lee Carl Berhow. <br /> <br /> 2) We, the Citizens and City Council of the City of Ramsey <br />are greatly honored to have men of your caliber serving on the Ramsey <br />Police Department. We further want you to know we know of no greater <br />feat to mankind than saving a childs' life and we shall be ever greatful <br />to you. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilmember Reimann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg, Reimann <br /> and Cox <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the <br />Ramsey City Council this the 28th day of April, 1981. <br /> <br />/ Cityz ~fdministrat~r/Clerk <br />Councl~emb~r Relmann <br /> <br /> <br />
