Councilmember Cox introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #81-40b RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids on the follow- ing street improvement project: Project #81-1 consisting of the following street: -- Variolite Street N.W. between the line of 161st Avenue N.W. and 173rd Avenue N.W. (County Road #63) and the following bids were considered according to law on the above listed bituminous street surfacing project and ~the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractor Total Bid Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. N.D.H., Inc. Northern Asphalt Construction $118,814.50 126,072.50 182,772.50 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder of $118,814.50. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the improvement of the above listed street in the above listed project according to plans and specifi- cations therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Administrator/Clerk. 2) The City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids,ex- cept that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Reimann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Van Wagner, Reimann and Cox
