Councilmember Cox introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #81-64 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BIDS RECEIVED FOR THE PURCHASE OF A NEW TYPEWRITER WttEREAS, pursuant to request for price quotes for the purchase of a new typewriter the following were received by the City of Ramsey: Bidder Make/Model Price Quote United Business Machines *Olivetti ET121 Electronic Correcting $1,090.O0 Royal Business Machines '5010 Electronic Correcting 4-Pitch $1,170.O0 5000 CD 15" Cor- recting Dual Pitch $ 817.00 IBM Correcting Selectric III $ 931.50 Model 6705 *IBM Model 50 Electronic $1,287.O0 * Asterick denotes electronic typewriter AND WHEREAS, it appears that Royal Business Machines Electric Typewriter 5000 CD 15" Correcting Dual Pitch of $817.00 is the lowest price quote. However, the lowest electronic typewriter Olivetti ET121 Electronic Correcting has the lowest price quote of $1,O90.00. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The City Council accepts the price quote of United Business Machines for the Olivetti ET 121 Electronic Correcting in the amount of $1,090.00. 2) The City Council qualified the above action taken by them due to the fact that the Olivetti ET121 Electronic Correcting model type- writer is the best operating typewriter and has many more features that are beneficial to the City in regards to productivity and time savings. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner and upon vote being taken thereon, the follow- ing voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Van Wagner, Reimann and Cox
