Councilmember Van Wagner introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #81-184 RESOLUTION RECEIVING PRICE QUOTES AND AWARDING BID FOR COMPLETION OF CITY HALL LOWER LEVEL WHEREAS, pursuant to call for price quotes for the completion of the lower level of the Ramsey Municipal Center the following price quotes were received: Bidder Base Bid Alternate #1 Alternate #2 D. Westlund Gem COnstruction A B J Enterprises, Inc. $76,880 $76,890 $76,900 $79,246 $94,972 $108,477 $52,000 $66,000 $76,000 $53,463 $63,326 $73,760 $54,983 $64,597 $74,632 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Gem Construction Alternate Bid #2 in the amount of $73,760 had the best price quote. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The City Council accepted the price quote from Gem Con- struction Alternate Bid #2 in the amount of $73,760. 2) The City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to inform all who submitted price quotes of their action. 3) The City Administrator/Clerk and Mayor are hereby autho- zied and directed to enter into a contract with Gem Construction and said contract is to run for 120 commencing on the date the contract is signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mayor Gamec and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec, COuncilmembers Van Wagner~ Sorteberg, Reimann and Cox and the following voted against the same: None wheruepon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 28th day of October, 1981.
