Councilmember Reimann introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #82-37 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO TRANSFER FROM LANDFILL TRUST FUND TO GENERAL FUND FOR CERTAIN <br />LEGAL COSTS INVOLVING THE RAMSEY LANDFILL: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council established the Ramsey Landfill <br />Trust Fund #801 for the purpose that these funds would be used only for the <br />development of the Landfill into a recreation or any other ancillary cost <br />involving the Ramsey Landfill; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council is currently involved in a legal <br />confrontation with the City of Anoka as to who controls said Landfill; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council is further involved in the legal <br />process with Anoka County and the City of Anoka in developing of the methane <br />gas at the Ramsey Landfill. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) Transfer $20,000 from the Landfill Trust Fund #801 to the <br />General Fund #101 which will be used to pay only those legal or other pro- <br />fessional costs that are directly related to the Ramsey Landfill. <br /> <br />tion. <br /> <br />2) The City Accountant will be furnished a copy of this resolu- <br /> <br /> 3) The City Accountant will furnish the City Administrator and <br />City Council with a memo each month stating what bills have been submitted <br />involving Landfill costs and the balance of the above amount transferred into <br />the General Fund. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Cox and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, Cox and Sorteberg <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council this the 23rd day of March, 1982. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
