Councilmember Sorteberg introduced the following resolution ~]d moved for <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #82-45 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Landfill Ad Hoc Council Committee has presented <br />three alternatives relating to the Ramsey Landfill to the City Council by memo- <br />randum dated March 22, 1982, which memorandum is attached to this resolution; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council has thoroughly discussed those alternatives; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed a proposed Joint Powers Agreement <br />relating to Alternative #1 of the March 22, 1982 memorandum. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the Ad Hoc Landfill Council Committee continue to discuss <br />with the County and City of Anoka Alternative #1 of the March 22, 1982 memorandum <br />which is a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Anoka, County of ~noka and <br />City of Ramsey. <br /> <br /> 2) That the Committee propose the amendments to the Joint Powers <br />Agreement suggested by the Council at its April 5, 1982 meeting. <br /> <br /> 3) That the Committee pursue and get into contract form for Council <br />review a distribution of the Landfill revenues paid by the operator from November <br />1, 1981 through the date of entering into the possible Joint Powers Agreement. <br /> <br /> 4) That the Committee is further authorized to discuss various aspects <br />of this issue with Waste Management when it deems such discussions will be valuable <br />regarding this issue. <br /> <br /> 5) That the Council's action above in no way shall commit Ramsey to <br />agreeing that the south 80 acres shall become a Landfill site in the future. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Cox and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, Reimann and Van Wagner <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 5th day of April, 1982. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
