Councilmember Reimann introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #82-88 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Anoka has constructed and does maintain <br />certain County highways in the City of Ramsey which the City of Ramsey deems <br />to be collector and/or thoroughfare streets, which County highways are as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Nowthen Boulevard (County Road #5) <br />Sunfish Lake Boulevard (County Road #57) <br />Ramsey Boulevard (County Road #56) <br />Armstrong Boulevard (County Road #83) <br />Ail of County Road #63 <br />All of County Road #64 <br />Seventh Avenue <br />Industry Boulevard (County Road #116); <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the daily vehicular load on each of the above named County <br />highways is heavy; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, unlimited and unrestricted accesses onto these highways has <br />become a safety hazard to the vehicular traffic traveling on these highways; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the most feasible means of restricting the accesses onto <br />these County highways is to condemn the access rights of each abutting landowner <br />and pay the respective landowners for these access rights; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is not realistically feasible to condemn existing accesses <br />from abutting landowners; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, even though existing accesses must be maintained, it would <br />be beneficial to the safety of vehicular traffic on these County highways to <br />restrict future accesses onto these County highways. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the City of Ramsey hereby requests the County Board of Anoka <br />County to initiate the appropriate proceeding such that the access rights to the <br />following County highways be restricted, to-wit: <br /> <br />Nowthen Boulevard (County Road #5) <br />Sunfish Lake Boulevard (County Road #57) <br />Ramsey Boulevard (County Road #56) <br />Armstrong Boulevard (County Road ~83) <br />All of County Road #63 <br />All of County Road #64 <br />Seventh Avenue <br />Industry Boulevard (County Road ~116) <br /> <br /> <br />
