Councilmember Sorteberg introduced the following resolution and moved for <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #82-97 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING AND AWARDING BIDS FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT FOR PROJECT <br />#82-~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improve- <br />ment of the following street: <br /> <br />167th Avenue N.W. between the line of C.S.A.H. #5 and <br />State Highway #47 <br /> <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the follow- <br />ing bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />Contractor Total Bid <br /> <br />U.D.Contracting <br />Buffalo Bituminous Inc. <br />Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. <br />A. R.I. Contracting <br />Hardrives Inc. <br />Aero Asphalt Inc. <br /> <br />$182,040.06 <br /> 186,697.00 <br /> 197,917.00 <br /> 205,926.50 <br /> 215,999.24 <br /> 217,223.50 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that U.D. Contracting of Brooklyn Park <br />is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into a contract with U.D. Contracting of Brooklyn Park in the <br />name of the City of Ramsey for the improvement of 167th Avenue N.W. be- <br />tween the line of C.S.A.H. #5 and State Highway #47 according to the <br />plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on <br />file in the office of the City Clerk. <br /> <br /> 2) The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to re- <br />turn forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except <br />that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder <br />shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilmember Van Wagner and upon vote being taken thereon, the follow- <br />ing voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg and Reimann <br /> <br /> <br />
