Councilmember Sorteberg introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #82-97 RESOLUTION RECEIVING AND AWARDING BIDS FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT FOR PROJECT #82-~ WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improve- ment of the following street: 167th Avenue N.W. between the line of C.S.A.H. #5 and State Highway #47 bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the follow- ing bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractor Total Bid U.D.Contracting Buffalo Bituminous Inc. Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. A. R.I. Contracting Hardrives Inc. Aero Asphalt Inc. $182,040.06 186,697.00 197,917.00 205,926.50 215,999.24 217,223.50 AND WHEREAS, it appears that U.D. Contracting of Brooklyn Park is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with U.D. Contracting of Brooklyn Park in the name of the City of Ramsey for the improvement of 167th Avenue N.W. be- tween the line of C.S.A.H. #5 and State Highway #47 according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2) The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to re- turn forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner and upon vote being taken thereon, the follow- ing voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg and Reimann
