Councilmember Van Wagner introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #82-104 WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Code, Chapter 170.01 Section 170.0138E(7) restricts access from a plat onto a major highway or thoroughfare; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council has by resolution requested Anoka County to restrict access onto all County thoroughfare highways; and WHEREAS, the developer of the proposed plat of Ramsey Commons has requested a variance to the code and policy above described which variance re- quest is for two accesses from the proposed plat onto Nowthen Blvd (County Road #5); and WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Staff has recommended that if there has to be access onto County Road #5 the best solution would be one access directly across from 148th Lane N.W. and this access would be conducive for the develop- ment of the site as a PUD with private interior roads. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the plat of Ramsey Commons may have a variance to the City Code and City policy and is hereby permitted to have two accesses onto Nowthen Blvd. (County Road #5) which accesses shall be located as shown on the proposed plat of Ramsey Commons. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg and Cox and the following voted against the same: None and the following were absent: Councilmember Reimann whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of July, 1982. ~~ ~Ad~inist rat or/C 1 erk Mayor Councilmember Sorteberg /
