Councilman Cox introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #82-117 WHEREAS, Anoka Hennepin Independent School District ~11 submitted the Community Education Budget for 1983 which also contained the participation of the total district youths in various summer programs that were being offered for the Ramsey Council to review; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council reviewed the Independent School District #11 Community Education Budget for 1983 and the participation of the number of youths in the 1982 program and questioned why the youth participation didn't reflect Ramsey children only; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Community School Coordinator stated he did not have control over the compiling of the number of youtbs participating. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTAi as follows: 1) It is requested that the 1983 youth participation in the summer program will be shown in the 1984 Community School Budget as reflecting Ramsey youth participation only. If this cannot be accomplished, the Ramsey City Council wants to be so informed as to why there is a problem in accomplishing it. 2) It is directed that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the following persons: a) Mr. Jim Stewart, Director of Community Education b) Mr. Brian Daniels, Coordinator of Community Education c) Mr. Marc Hadley, Director of the Ramsey Community School The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Councilmembers Cox, Van Wagner, Reimann and Sorteberg and the following voted against the same: None and the following was absent: Mayor Gamec whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 24th day of August, 1982.
