Councilmember Cox introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />#82- 163 <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR CHANGE IN FOUR-WAY TRAFFIC STOP SIGNS ON SUNFISH LAKE BLVD. (CSAH ~57) <br />AND INDUSTRIAL BLVD. (CSAH #116) INTERSECTION TO ~O~WAY STOP SIGN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, current traffic signalization at the intersection of Sunfish <br />Lake Blvd. (CSAH #57) and Industrial Blvd. (CSAH #116) requires all traffic to <br />stop at this intersection. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, citizens and commerce people of the iCity of Ramsey have re- <br />quested to the Ramsey City Council that the four-way stop at the above intersection <br />be changed to requiring only the traffic traveling on Industrial Blvd. be required <br />to stop at this intersection. They stated that the heavy truck traffic on Sunfish <br />Lake Blvd. was being penalized by the current signalization. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council requested City Staff to review the <br />current signalization and they have also recommended to the Ramsey City Council that <br />only the traffic traveling on Industrial Blvd. be required to stop at the above <br />stated intersection. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) It is therefore requested that the Anoka County Board of Commissioners <br />authorize the County Highway Engineer to change the signalization at the intersection <br />of Industrial Blvd. (CSAH ~11~ and Sunfish Lake Blvd. (CSAH #57) from a four-way <br />stop signalization to a two-way stop signalization for the traffic traveling on <br />Industrial Blvd. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Sorteberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cox, Sorteberg, Van Wagner and Reimann <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 23rd day of November, 1982. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~lZator/Clerk ~-- <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
