Page 2 of 2 <br />Resolution ~83-1 la <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />Ramsey has acted as a "host" community for <br />regional disposal sites for the last 25 <br />years, and if Site "P" becomes a reality, <br />Ramsey will have a disposal site in its com- <br />munity for at least another 25 years. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />Ramsey has done its share in "hosting" waste <br />disposal facilities and it is now time that <br />other communities and localities "host" such <br />facilities and accept the responsibility which <br />Ramsey has. <br /> <br />c) Ramsey is not served by either sanitary sewer <br /> or municipal water facilities. <br /> <br />d) <br /> <br />Ramsey and the proposed disposal facility are <br />in close proximity to both the Rum and Mississippi <br />Rivers. <br /> <br />2) To direct Staff to forward this resolution to all appropriate <br />agencies in order that Ramsey's position on this subject be known. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Sorta~ergand upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner and Sorteberg <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: None <br />and the following abstained: Councilmember Schlueter <br />and the following was absent: Councilmember Reimann <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council this the 22nd day of February, 1983. <br /> <br /> <br />
