Councilmcmber Reimann introduced the followi~ resolution and moved for <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #83-45 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey's Code 10.097 states the amount of <br />days a City employee may accrue as vacation time; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Administrator of the City of Ramsey, Anoka <br />County, State of Minnesota has informed the City Council that due to work- <br />load certain City employees are losing vacation time and, therefore, is re- <br />questing that the City allow these employees to accrue additional time <br />above and beyond what is provided for in the City Code. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) To authorize City Staff to exceed the ordinance in the accrual <br />of vacation time under the following conditions: <br /> <br />a) The workload of any employee prior to getting into this <br />situation will be reviewed by the City Administrator and he <br />will make the determination as to whether this employee's <br />workload warrants his not being able to utilize his vacation <br />time. <br /> <br />b) That he has utilized his compensatory time. <br /> <br />c) That each calendar year at the organizational meeting he <br />will give a report to the City Council on situations regard- <br />ing additional accrual of vacation time. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Sorteberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg, Schlueter and Reimann <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council this the 7th day of April, 1983. <br /> <br />~~~~ATTEST: <br /> ~~~m~s t~t°~TClerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
