Councilmember Sorteberg introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #83-54 RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted March 28, 1983, a report has been prepared by Mr. Pete Raatikka of Hakanson Anderson ASsociates, Inc. with reference to the improvement of the follow- ing streets by sealcoating: a) 16Oth Avenue N.W. between the line of Kangaroo Street N.W. and the west plat boundary of Forest Hideaway. b) 159th Lane N.W. between the line of Kangaroo Street east to its end at the cul de sac. c) Kangaroo Street N.W. between the line of 159th Lane N.W. and 161st Avenue N.W. d) Iguana Street N.W. between the line of 159th Lane N.W. and 161st Avenue N.W. and this report was received by the Council on April 26, 1983. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Council will consider the improvement of such street by sealcoating in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pur- suant to Minnesota Statutes 429 at an estimated total cost of the improve- ment of $7,874.00. 2) A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improve- ment on the ]~4th day of June, 1983, in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center atT:20 P.M. and the clerk shall give mailed and pub- lished notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Reimann and upon vote being taken thereon, the follow- ing voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg, Schlueter and Reimann and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 26th day of April, 1983.
