Councilmember Van Wagner introduced the following resolution and moved for <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #83-64 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improve- <br />ment of the following streets: <br /> <br />a) 155th Avenue N.W. between the line of Ramsey Blvd. <br />N.W. (County Road #56) and Variolite STreet N.W. <br /> <br />b) Variolite Street N.W. between the line of 155th <br />Avenue and 161st Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following <br />bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />Contractor <br /> <br />Bid Amount <br /> <br />Buffalo Bituminous <br />Forest Lake Contracting <br />H & S Asphalt <br />Northern Asphalt <br />Aero <br /> <br />$185,293.55 <br />$191,522.15 <br />$198,869.00 <br />$281,147.21 <br />$210,038.50 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it apperas that Buffalo Bituminous of Buffalo, <br />Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into the attached contract with Buffalo Bituminous of Buffalo, <br />Minnesota in the name of the City of Ramsey for the improvement of the <br />following streets: <br /> <br />a) 155th Avenue N.W. between the line of Ramsey Blvd. <br />N.W. (County Road #56) and Variolite Street N.W. <br /> <br />b) Variolite Street N.W. between the line of i55th <br />Avenue and 161st Avenue N.W. <br /> <br /> 2) That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br />return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except <br />that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall <br />be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilmember Reimann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wanger, Schlueter and Reimann <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
