Councilmember Van Wagner introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #83-65 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID WIIEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improve- ment of the following street: 167th Avenue N.W. between the line of C.S.A.H. #5 and Jaspar Street N.W. bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractor Bid Amount Barber Construction Buffalo Bituminous Forest Lake Contracting H & S Asphalt Northern Asphalt Construction Omann Construction Company Aero $32,640.00 23,588.00 18,447.50 26,355.00 33,076.55 24,805.00 26,290.00 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Forest Lake Contracting of Forest Lake, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Forest Lake Contracting of Forest Lake, Minnesota in the name of the City of Ramsey for the improvement of the following street: 167th Avenue N.W. between the line of C.S.A.H. #5 and Jaspar Street N.W. 2) That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg, Schlueter and Reimann and the following voted against the same: None Page 1 of 2
