Councilmember Van Wagner introduced the following resolution and moved for <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #83-65 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID <br /> <br /> WIIEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improve- <br />ment of the following street: <br /> <br />167th Avenue N.W. between the line of C.S.A.H. #5 and <br />Jaspar Street N.W. <br /> <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following <br />bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />Contractor <br /> <br />Bid Amount <br /> <br />Barber Construction <br />Buffalo Bituminous <br />Forest Lake Contracting <br />H & S Asphalt <br />Northern Asphalt Construction <br />Omann Construction Company <br />Aero <br /> <br />$32,640.00 <br /> 23,588.00 <br /> 18,447.50 <br /> 26,355.00 <br /> 33,076.55 <br /> 24,805.00 <br /> 26,290.00 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Forest Lake Contracting of Forest <br />Lake, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into the attached contract with Forest Lake Contracting of Forest <br />Lake, Minnesota in the name of the City of Ramsey for the improvement of the <br />following street: <br /> <br />167th Avenue N.W. between the line of C.S.A.H. #5 and <br />Jaspar Street N.W. <br /> <br /> 2) That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br />return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except <br />that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall <br />be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilmember Sorteberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg, Schlueter and <br />Reimann <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
