Councilmember Sorteberg introduced %he following resolution and moved for <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #83-98 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND <br />ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a resolution of the Ramsey City Council adopted the 26th <br />day of April, 1983, fixed a date for a Council hearing on the proposed seal- <br />coating improvement of the following streets: <br /> <br />a) 154th Lane N.W. between the line of County Road <br />#83 (Armstrong Blvd. N.W.) and the west plat boundary <br />of Whispering Pines Estates Plat #4. <br /> <br />b) 154th Avenue N.W. between the line of Eland Street <br />N.W. and the west plat boundary of Whispering Pines <br />Estates Plat #4. <br /> <br />c) 153rd Lane N.W. between the line of Eland Street <br />N.W. and the west plat boundary of Whispering Pines <br />Estates Plat #4. <br /> <br />d) Eland Street N.W. between the line of 153rd Lane <br />N.W. and 154th Lane N.W. <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, ten days mailed notice and two weeks published <br />notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing was held thereon on the <br />14th day of June, 1983, at which all persons desiring to be heard were <br />given an opportunity to be heard thereon. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the Council <br />resolution adopted the 26th day of April, 1983. <br /> <br /> 2) Plans and specifications prepared by Mr. Peter Raatikka of <br />Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc., engineer for such improvement pursuant <br />to Council resolution, a copy of which plans and specifications is attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed with <br />the City Administrator/Clerk <br /> <br /> 3) The City Administrator/Clerk shall prepare and cause to be <br />inserted in the Anoka County Union and Shopper (the City's official paper) <br />and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making <br />of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The ad- <br />vertisement shall be published for two weeks, shall specify the work to be <br />done, shall state that the bids will be received by the clerk until 11:00 <br />A.M. on June 28, 1983, at which time they will be publicly opened in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Hall by the City Clerk and City Engineer, will <br />then be tabulated and will be considered by the Council at 7:30 P.M. on <br />June 28, 1983, in the Council Chambers, and that no bids will be considered <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
