Councilmember Reimann introduced the following resolution and moved for <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #83-107 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVe'lENT, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND <br />ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (Rum River Acres I & II - #83-12) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a resolution of the Ramsey City Council adopted the <br />26th day of April, 1983, fixed a date for a Council hearing on the proposed <br />sealcoating improvement of the following streets: <br /> <br />a) Salish Street N.W. between the line of 153rd Avenue <br />N.W. and Juniper Ridge Drive <br /> <br />b) Juniper Ridge Drive between the west plat boundary <br />of Rum Acre Estates Second Addition to the east plat <br />boundary of Rum Acres Estates. <br /> <br />c) 151st Avenue N.W. between the west plat boundary of <br />Rum Acres Estates and Juniper Ridge Drive. <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, ten days mailed notice and two weeks published <br />notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing was held therean on the <br />14th day of June, 1983, at which all persons desiring to be heard were <br />given an opportunity to be heard thereon. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> l) Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the <br />Council resolution adopted the 26th day of April, 1983. <br /> <br /> 2) Plans and specifications prepared by Mr. Peter Raatikka <br />of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc., engineer for such improvement pur- <br />suant to Council resolution, a copy of which plans and specifications is <br />attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and shall be <br />filed with the City Administrator/Clerk <br /> <br /> 3) The City Administrator/Clerk shall prepare and cause to <br />be inserted in the Anoka County Union and Shopper (the City's official paper) <br />and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making <br />of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The ad- <br />vertisement shall be published for two weeks, shall specify the work to be <br />done, shall state that the bids will be received by the clerk until 11:00 <br />A.M. on June 28, 1983, at which time they will be publicly opened in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Hall by the City Clerk and City Engineer, will <br />then be tabulated and will be considered by the Council at 7:30 P.M. on <br />June 28, 1983 in the Council Chambers, and that no bids will be considered <br />unless sealed and filed with the clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, <br />cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the clerk for five <br />percent (5%) of the amount of each bid. <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
