Councilmember Reimann introduced the following resolution and moved for <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #83-115 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BIDS RECEIVED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF RAMSEY CENTRAL <br />PARK (Project #83-17) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction <br />of Ramsey Central Park, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to <br />law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />Contractor <br /> <br />Total Bid <br /> <br />Forest Lake Contracting $39,760.00 <br />H & S Asphalt $47,360.00 <br />Buffalo Bituminous Inc. $48,850.00 <br />B. A. Begin and Sons $52,250.00 <br />Matt Bullock Contracting Co., Inc. $52,825.00 <br />Peterson Earth Movers $58,160.00 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Forest Lake Contracting has the lowest <br />price quote in the amount of $39,760.00. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the City Council accepts the price quote from Forest Lake <br />Contracting for the construction of Ramsey Central Park in the amount of <br />$39,760.00. <br /> <br /> 2) That the City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and <br />directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposit made with their bids, <br />except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next highest bidder <br />to be retained until the construction of Ramsey Central Park be successfully <br />completed. <br /> <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br /> by Councilmember Sorteberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br /> voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Schlueter and Reimann <br /> <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> and the following member was absent: <br /> <br /> Councilmember Van Wagner <br /> <br /> whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey <br /> City Council this the 28th day of June, 1983. <br /> <br /> Mayor <br /> <br />/~Admi~t r a~to r/~[ e r-k-- -- --._ <br /> <br /> <br />
