Councilmember Schlueter introduced the following resolution and moved for <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION %83-177 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING STREET MAINTENANCE SUPPLEMENT TO THE 1984 CIT~ TOTAL <br />BUDGET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Staff has submitted the following additional <br />budget request to the Council Budget Committee for their review and action: <br /> <br />a) Supplement #4 to the City's 1984 Operational Budget - <br /> Street Maintenance Activity 101-4212: <br /> <br />Asphalt saw $ 700 (Line item #1510) <br />Self-propelled side sweeper 34,000 (Line item #1510) <br />Brush chipper 12,000 (Line item #1510) <br /> <br />TOTAL $46,700 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council Budget Committee has reviewed the requests <br />contained in the 1984 Budget Supplement #4 above and hereby recommends <br />approval and forwarding of said request to the City Council for their review <br />and action with the following additional recommendations: <br /> <br /> a) Purchase of asphalt saw in the amount of $700 - The <br />purchase of this item will be accomplished through revenue sharing <br />funds. <br /> <br /> b) Purchase of self-propelled side sweeper in the amount <br />of $34,000 - The purchase of this item will be accomplished by <br />using a certificate of indebtedness. The reason being that levy <br />limit as provided by State law does not provide adequate additional <br />funding. <br /> <br /> c) Purchase of brush chipper in the amount of $12,000 - <br />The purchase of this item will be accomplished by using a <br />certificate of indebtedness. The reason being that levy limit <br />as provided by State law does not provide adequate funding. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEy, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That Supplement #4 as stated above is hereby approved as <br />follows and is hereby incorporated into the City's 1984 Operational Budget: <br /> <br /> a) Asphalt saw for $700 - This item will be purchased through <br />the revenue sharing funds. <br /> <br /> b) Self-propelled side sweeper for $34,000 - This item <br />will be purchased only by use of a certificate of indebtedness <br />unless Council authorizes a different method of purchasing it <br />by resolution. <br /> <br /> c) Brush chipper for $12,000 - This item will be purchased <br />only by use of certificate of indebtedness unless Council <br />authorizes a different method in purchasing it by resolution. <br /> <br />Resolution #83-177 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
