Mayor Gamec introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ~84-39 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br /> GRANT FUNDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as <br /> amended, provides for a program of Community Development Block Grants; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cities of Lino Lakes and Ramsey have joined eighteen (18) other <br /> municipalities in order to qualify Anoka County as an Urban County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this designation has entitled the Cities of Ramsey and Lino Lakes to <br /> receive Community Development Block Grant Funds for 1984 through 1986; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has uncommitted funds from its 1983 Community <br /> Development Block Grant allocation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes is in the process of completing a Senior Activity <br /> Center; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes desires to meet construction schedules and have <br /> a complete and functional center by the summer of 1984. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br /> ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) To temporarily assign $10,000.00 of its uncommitted 1983 Community Development <br /> Block Grant Funds to the City of Lino Lakes for completion of its Senior Center. <br /> <br /> Z) That the City of Lino Lakes will reciprocate by designating a like amount of <br /> Community Development Block Grant Funds to the City of Ramsey for funding year 1985. <br /> <br /> 3) That the exchange of Community Development Block Grant Funds shall be <br /> processed through the Anoka Community Development office. <br /> <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> Sorteberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, Van Wagner and Schlueter <br /> <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br /> this the 28th day of February, 1984. <br /> <br />.~ Cit ~d minim_Vier a t or/X~ 1 ~r14. - ~ ........ <br /> <br /> <br />
