Councilmember Van Wagner introduced the following resolution and moved for <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #84-97 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT <br />FOR BIDS (Magnesium Street) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council <br />on April 17, 1984, City Engineer Peter R. Raatikka of Hakanson Anderson <br />Associates, Inc. has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement <br />of the following street: <br /> <br />-- Magnesium Street N.W. beginning at County Road 9116 (In- <br /> dustry Avenue N.W.) and continuing north to a point 280 <br /> feet beyond the north section line of Section 35. <br /> <br />and has presented such plans and specifications to the Ramsey City Council <br />for their approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached <br />hereto, and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br /> 2) The City Administrator/Clerk shall prepare and cause to be in- <br />serted in the official paper (Anoka Union) and in the Construction Bulletin <br />an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such <br />approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published <br />for ten days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will <br />be received by the City Administrator/Clerk until 11:00 A.M. on June 12, <br />1984, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers <br />of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Administrator/Clerk and City <br />Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City <br />Council at 7:30 P.M. on June 12, 1984, in the Council Chambers, and that no <br />bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator/ <br />Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certi- <br />fied check payable to the clerk for five percent (5%) of the amount of such <br />bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Sorteberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg, Schlueter and <br />Reimann <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution #84-97 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
