Councilmember Reimann introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #84-124 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HIRING OF PART TIME STAFF PERSON <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due to additional work in assessing in regards to the <br />land zone program, it is estimated that approximately 160 hours will be re- <br />quired of secretary time; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due to the additional requirement of a newsletter, it is <br />felt that it will require approximately eight (8) hours per issue of <br />secretarial time; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, current full time secretary staffing at the Ramsey Muni- <br />cipal Center does not provide for additional proposed workload that has been <br />stated above. It is therefore, recommended that Council authorize the hiring <br />of a part time secretary on a need basis to accomplish the above mentioned <br />projects. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes the hiring of Sylvia <br />Frolik as a part time secretary at the hourly rate of $5.50 per hour under <br />the following conditions: <br /> <br />a) That the part time secretary will be on a need basis and <br />only on those projects that have Council approval. <br /> <br />b) Further, if a special approved project exceeds the esti- <br />mated time Cooncil will be so informed. <br /> <br /> 2) That if an emergency should arise whereas, the service of the <br />part time secretary is needed, the City Administrator will be able to give <br />interim approval until the next regular/special Council meeting whereby the <br />Council will be so informed of this action. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Van Wagner and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg, Schlueter and <br />Reimann <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution #84-124 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
