Counci lmember Reimann introduced <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />following resolution and <br /> <br /> $ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #84-147 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR MUNICIPAL WELL NO. 1 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey adopted Resolution #84-125 <br />receiving bid only on Municipal Well No. 1; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer for the River's Bend plat has <br />filed with the City of Ramsey a letter of credit dated August 9, <br />1984 in the amount of $ to cover the cost of the <br />construction of Municipal Well No. 1; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following bids were received: <br /> <br />Bergerson Caswell, Inc. <br />E. H. Rennet & Sons, Inc. <br />Layne Minnesota Company <br /> <br />$44,980 <br />$46,510 <br />$66,800 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Bergerson Caswell, Inc. is <br />the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are <br />hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached <br />contract with Bergerson Caswell, Inc. for the construction of <br />Municipal Well No. 1 according to the plans and specifications <br />therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office <br />of the City Administrator/Clerk. <br /> <br /> 2) That the City Administrator/Clerk is hereby <br />authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposit made with their bids, except that the deposit of the <br />successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained <br />until a contract is signed. <br /> <br /> 3) That it is further directed to enter into an <br />agreement whereby if a petition was filed opposing the creating <br />of a utility ordinance, that the developers of River's Bend will <br />suffer all costs of said construction of Municipal Well No. i. <br /> <br />The ~otion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Oamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sortergerg, <br />and Reimann <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
