Counci lmember Reimann introduced moved for its adoption: the following resolution and $ RESOLUTION #84-147 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR MUNICIPAL WELL NO. 1 WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey adopted Resolution #84-125 receiving bid only on Municipal Well No. 1; and WHEREAS, the developer for the River's Bend plat has filed with the City of Ramsey a letter of credit dated August 9, 1984 in the amount of $ to cover the cost of the construction of Municipal Well No. 1; and WHEREAS, the following bids were received: Bergerson Caswell, Inc. E. H. Rennet & Sons, Inc. Layne Minnesota Company $44,980 $46,510 $66,800 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Bergerson Caswell, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Bergerson Caswell, Inc. for the construction of Municipal Well No. 1 according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Administrator/Clerk. 2) That the City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposit made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract is signed. 3) That it is further directed to enter into an agreement whereby if a petition was filed opposing the creating of a utility ordinance, that the developers of River's Bend will suffer all costs of said construction of Municipal Well No. i.
