Councilmember Van Wagner introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #84-206 RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAY FOR NORTH STAR DRILLING, INC. (Project #83-17 Central Park) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey adopted the following resolution approving the following project in the City of Ramsey: Resolution #84-17 adopted February 28, 1984 for well and irrigation system installation in Central Park; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey adopted Resolution #84-59 awarding the bid to North Star Drilling, Inc. for the construction of Proposal I, and WHEREAS, ~City Engineer, Mr. Peter Raatikka of Hakanson Anderson, Inc. recommended final payment in his letter dated September 7, 1984, for North Star Drilling, Inc. in the amount of $27,168.75. WHEREAS, City Engineer, Mr. Peter Raatikka of Hakanson Anderson, Inc. recommended assessing liquidated damages against the contractors in the amount of $1,652.74 as stated in his letter dated September 20, 1984; and WHEREAS, City Engineer, Mr. Larry Koshak of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. reviewed assessing the liquidated damages with the Ramsey City Council at their regular meeting of September 25, 1984, and and recommended splitting the amount between the North Star Drilling and First Impressions Contracting, $826.37 each. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby assesses liquidated damages equally against North Star Drilling and First Impressions Contracting in the amount of $826.37 each as recommended by City Engineer, Mr. Peter R. Raatikka of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. in his letter dated September 20, 1984, 2) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby authorizes final payment to First Impressions Contracting for Proposal I in the amount of $27,168.75, which is less the $826.37 of liquidated damages.
