Councilmember Van Wagner introduced the following resolution and <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 984-217 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING A GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE FOR DISCRIMINATION IN <br />ANY CITY PROGRAMS OR SERVICES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Revenue Sharing Guidelines require that all <br />governmental entities receiving more than $25,000 in Revenue <br />Sharing Funds must adopt a grievance procedure for residents <br />claiming that discrimination exists; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Revenue Sharing Guidelines require that such <br />grievance procedure be adopted before October 17, 1984. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That any person claiming discrimination against <br />handicapped individuals must follow the grievance procedure <br />below: <br /> <br />a) Submit a letter to the Ramsey Municipal Center <br />(City Hall) outlining the complaint and requested <br />action. <br /> <br />b) The City Council will review all complaints <br />within 45 days and take action on the complaint. <br /> <br />c) That the City S taf f will notify the <br />complaining party of the action taken by City <br />Council. <br /> <br /> 2) That any person not satisfied with the action by <br />Council may request a direct appearance before Council to discuss <br />the matter. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember Reimann and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg, <br />Schlueter and Reimann <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by <br />the Ramsey City Council this the 23rd day of October, 1984. <br /> <br />~ .t~'-~Ad~ni/s~rat~r/Clerk~ / ...... <br /> <br /> <br />
