Councilmember Reimann introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />ad opti on: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 984-221 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Councilmember Reimann raised the question of amending the <br />1984 City Budget to purchase a four-wheel drive pick-up truck to serve the pub- <br />lic works, police and parks departments; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council Budget Committee has provided for a pick-up truck <br />in the 1985 City General Fund Budget which would be purchased from funds in the <br />Equipment Revolving Fund in 1985; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Staff was requested to submit price quotes to the Coun- <br />cil at their meeting of October 23, 1984 for their review and action; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a call for price quotes for a half ton 4 x 4 <br />pick-up for the City of Ramsey Street Department, the following price quotes <br />were received: <br /> <br />Bidder Automatic Tr~,.~. 4-speed Tr~--~. <br /> <br />Greenberg's Inc. $11,375.45 No Bid <br /> Jeep <br /> <br />Thomas Pontiac $10,882.75 $10,333.35 <br /> GMC <br /> <br />Art Goebel, Inc. $10,475.00 $9,950.00 <br /> Ford <br /> <br />Main Motor Sales <br /> Chevrolet <br /> <br />$10,472.00 $9,902.50 <br /> <br />Elk River Ford Mercury <br /> Ford <br /> <br />$10,198.41 $9,477.68 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it appears that Elk River Ford Mercury's bid in the amount of <br />$9,477.68 was the best price quote; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council hereby adopts Amendment 911 amending Street Activity <br />Account 101-4212-1508 and 101-4212-1510 of the City General Fund Budget and also <br />authorizes a transfer from Equipment Revolving Fund 810 to General Fund 101 in <br />the amount of $10,330.00 to provide for the funding of said equipment. <br /> <br />NC~ ~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEDBY ~I~E CITY COUNCIL OF ~/~E CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNT~, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) The City Council hereby accepts the price quote from Elk River <br />Ford Mercury in the amount of $9,477.68. Further, that it authorizes a camper <br />top be purchased at a cost of $260.00 and that a mobile radio unit be installed <br />at a cost of $630.00 which is through the Hennepin County Purchasing bid. <br /> <br /> 2) The City Council hereby approves of Budget Amendment 911 which <br />directs the follcwing changes to Street Activity Account 101-4212 of the 1984 <br />General Fund Budget: <br /> <br />Street Activity Account 101-4212-1508 from $57,000 to $66,700 <br />Street Activity Account 101-4212-1510 from $25,480 to $26,110 <br /> <br /> <br />
