Councilmember Van Wagner introduced the following resolution and <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #84-248 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID (149th Avenue N.W.M.S.A.S.) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the <br />improvement of street and grading improvements of 149th Avenue <br />N.W. between the west plat boundary of River's Bend to Waco <br />Street N.W. (M.$.A.S. Street) bids were received, opened and <br />tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received <br />complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Forest Lake Contracting <br /> <br />$385,513.00 <br /> <br />H & S Asphalt Company <br /> <br />$397,982.00 <br /> <br />Valley Paving, Inc. <br /> <br />$423,650.20 <br /> <br />Alexander Construct/on Co. <br /> <br />$429,988.05 <br /> <br />Hardrives, Inc. <br /> <br />$476,219.80 <br /> <br />Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. <br /> <br />$482,642.00 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Forest Lake Contracting is <br />the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) The Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with <br />Forest Lake Contracting in the name of the City of Ramsey for <br />streets and grading improvements of 149th Avenue N.W. between <br />the west plat boundary of River's Bend to Waco Street N.W. <br />(M.S.A.S. Street) according to the plans and specifications <br />therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office <br />of the City Administrator/Clerk and that said improvements are to <br />be contingent upon approval of M.S.A.S. funding. <br /> <br /> 2) That the City Administrator/Clerk is hereby <br />authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the <br />successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained <br />until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg and Reimann <br /> <br />Resolution #84-248 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
