Councilmember Schlueter introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION %85-31 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AU~/~ORIZING THE TPANSFER OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of <br />1974, as amended, provides for a program of Community Development Block Grants; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Township of Burns and City of Ramsey have joined <br />eighteen (18) other municipalities in order to qualify Anoka County as an Urban <br />County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this designation has entitled the City of Ramsey and <br />Township of Burns to receive Community Development Block Grant funds for 1984 <br />through 1986; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has uncommitted funds from its 1984 <br />Community Development Block Grant allocation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Township of Burns has submitted application to make <br />their town hall accessible to the handicapped. <br /> <br />N(~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY T~E CITY COUNCIL OF ~E CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, S~I~TE OF MINNESO~I~, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) To authorize permanent transfer of $8,000 of its uncommitted 1984 <br />Community Development Block Grant funds to the Township of Burns for aid in <br />their attempt to make Burns Town Hall accessible to the handicapped. <br /> <br /> 2) That the transfer of Community Development Block Grant funds <br />shall be processed through the Anoka County Community Development office. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Reimann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Schlueter, <br />Reimann and Cox <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution #85-31 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
