Councilmember Cox introduced the following resolution and moved <br />for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 985-54 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO REVIEW THE INTERSECTION OF <br />DYSPROSIUM STREET, C.S.A.H. NO. 5 AND S.T.H. NO. 47 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has designated Dysprosium <br />Street N.W. between County Road No. 116 (Industry Avenue N.W.) <br />and C.S.A.H. No. 5 (Nowthen Blvd. N.W.) as Municipal State Aid <br />Street 110; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has approved the plat of <br />Flintwood Hills Second Addition with Dysprosium Street N.W. <br />designated as an MSA Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Anoka has designated Thurston <br />Avenue N.W. as an MSA street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Thurston Avenue N.W. connects into Dysprosium <br />Street N.W. at County Road 116; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Dysprosium Street N.W. is proposed to carry <br />traffic from C.S.A.H. No. 5 to State Trunk Highway 10 following <br />the proposed extension of Thurston Avenue N.W. in Anoka; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Anoka is in the process of <br />studying and planning the alignment of Thurston Avenue between <br />S.T.H. No. 10 and County Road No. 116; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the development of Flintwood Hills Second <br />Addition is anticipated to commence this summer; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, no planning for the intersection of Dysprosium <br />Street N.W. and C.S.A.H. No. 5 has been completed. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the City Staff is authorized to proceed with <br />planning of the intersection of Dysprosium Street and C.S.A.H. <br />No. 5. <br /> <br /> 2) That the City Staf directed to meet with both the <br />Anoka County Highway Department and Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation and determine the alignment and the type of <br />interchange that will provide the best traffic service to all <br />parties in the future. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember Reimann and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Resolution ~85-54 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
