Councilmember Reimann introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #85-64 WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has responded to the Metro Council draft of the Regional Solid Waste Management Development Guide/Policy Plan; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has been informed that the Metro Council will be adopting their draft of the Regional Solid Waste Management Development Guide/Policy Plan on March 14, 1985; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Landfill Ad Hoc Committee has requested that the Ramsey City Council request that the Metro Council table action on adopting their Solid Waste Management Development Guide/Policy Plan until after the 1985 Legislative Session is adjourned due to the fact that the Ramsey City Council is proposing legislation during the 1985 Session that would affect the Metro Council Solid Waste Management Development Guide/Policy Plan. NOW ~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY ~lqE CITY COUNCIL OF ~E CITY OF RAMSEYv ANOKA COUNTY, S~I~TE OF MINNESO~, as follows: 1) That the City of Ramsey is currently engaged in proposing legis- lation that would have a major impact on the Metro Council proposed Solid Waste Management Development Guide/Policy Plan. In view of this, the City of Ramsey requests that the Metro Council table adoption of said document until the adjournment of the 1985 Legislative Session. 2) It is directed that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Metro Council Chairperson. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mayor Heitman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Schlueter, Reimann and Cox and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of Pebruary, 1985.
