Councilmember Sorteberg introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~85-65 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has not provided workers' compensation <br />insurance coverage to its Councilmembers while conducting official City <br />business for the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />NCW ~{EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY ~{E CITY OOUNCIL OF ~I~E CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, S~I~TE OF MINNESO~, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) It is hereby authorized that Councilmembers be covered under <br />the City's workers' compensation policy while those individuals are con- <br />ducting official City business. Further, this will be retroactive to <br />September 19, 1983. <br /> <br /> 2) Individual Councilpersons affected will submit a claim to the <br />Administration Department within 36 hours of injury, stating the type, time <br />and date of injury. <br /> <br /> 3) City business must be authorized by the City Council or <br />Commission prior to attendance. <br /> <br />~e motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Reimann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Schlueter, <br />and Reimann <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council this the 27th day of February, 1985. <br /> <br /> Mayor ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
