Councilmember Schluter introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION %85-69 WHEREAS, Anoka County is responsible for the timely expenditure of Community Development Block Grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and WHEREAS, Anoka County, in a letter dated February 27, 1985, has requested that communities with outstanding CDBG allocations submit applications for such funds; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #83-22 on March 22, 1983 designating Ramsey's allocation of Community Development Block Grant funds for use in economic development activities; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Economic Development Commission has prepared a draft of a brochure to promote economic development in the City; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. That the City of Ramsey apply for Community Development Block Grant funds to be used to produce the promotional brochure drafted by the Ramsey Economic Development Commission. 2. That a copy of this resolution and a preliminary project request form (attached hereto) be forwarded to the Anoka County Administrator. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mayor Heitman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Schlueter, Sorteberg, Reimann and Cox and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared dully passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 26th day of Ma~h, 1985. ~ d~I ~t~at6~/Clerk hereby acknowledge receipt of this .r~s~°~uti°n: C~ty Accofihtant / ~'-- ~
