Councilmember Cox introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESCLUTION 885-132 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. James R. Gilbertson, owner of J.R. 's Saloon, has <br />approached the Ramsey City Council regarding the reissuance of his on-sale <br />liquor license. <br /> <br />NCW ~/4EREFORE, BE IT RESCLVED BY ~tE CITY O0UNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />O~3NTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the Ramsey City Council has determined reissuance of the on- <br />sale liquor license for Mr. James R. Gilbertson, owner of J.R.'s Saloon, be <br />contingent upon the following: <br /> <br /> a) That payment by the applicant of the property taxes as <br />levied by Anoka County be made so that there will be no delinquent <br />property taxes of record, which means that the 1983 delinquent taxes <br />and 1984 delinquent taxes must be paid in full; <br /> <br /> b) That the applicant provide to the City a Tax Compliance <br />Certificate from the Minnesota Department of Revenue, which <br />Certificate releases the Department of Revenue's objection to the <br />City of Ramsey reissuing the subject on-sale intoxicating liquor <br />1 icense; <br /> <br /> c) That the applicant provide to the City of Ramsey a <br />Certificate of Dram Shop Insurance as required by City Code; <br /> <br /> d) That the City's Police Chief complete his investigation as <br />defined by City Code and there be a finding by the Police Chief that <br />the applicant has no criminal and/or liquor license violations which <br />would not permit reissuance of the license; <br /> <br /> e) That the applicant sign the application for an on-sale <br />intoxicating liquor license for the 1985/1986 license before a notary <br />public and that this notarized application be presented to the City. <br /> <br /> f) That the applicant pay to the City it's required $4,200.00 <br />license fee which includes a Sunday on-sale intoxicating liquor <br />license fee. <br /> <br /> 2) That in the event that all of the above contingencies have not <br />been complied with on or before August 5, 1985, the on-sale intoxicating liquor <br />license will not be ~eissued to the applicant and it will be necessary for <br />the applicant to apply for a new license pursuant to Ramsey City Code <br />procedures. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Sorteberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman, Councilm~mbers Cox, Sorteberg, Schlueter and Reimann <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
