Mayor Heitman introduced the following proposed resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RES0~UTION #85-170 <br /> <br />A PROPOSAL OF LANDFILL IMPACT ON MARKET VALUES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Landfill Ad Hoc Committee, at their meeting of May 20, <br />1985, by motion requested that the City engage a firm to do an extensive market <br />study of the affect the Anoka Landfill has on developed land and undeveloped <br />land in the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council, at their meeting of May 28, 1985, directed that <br />specifications be prepared to advertise for a firm to perform an extensive <br />market study on the Anoka Landfill's affect on developed residential, <br />commercial/industrial areas and vacant platted/unplatted lands (residential/ <br />commercial) market values; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Landfill Ad Hoc Committee has submitted to the Council <br />for their approval specifications to engage a oonsulting firm to do a study on <br />the affects the Anoka Landfill has on developed residential, commercial/ <br />industrial areas and vacant platted/unplatted lands (residential/commercial) <br />market values. <br /> <br />NOW ~EREFORE, BE IT RES~VED BY 9~E CITY OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) The Council hereby approves specifications to engage a firm to <br />prepare a study on the affects the Anoka Landfill has on developed residential, <br />commercial/industrial areas and vacant platted/unplatted land (residential/ <br />commercial) market values. <br /> <br />2) It is further directed that the following process be followed: <br /> <br />a) That the Landfill Ad Hoc Committee solicit proposals from <br /> consultants in accordance with the approved specifications. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />That the Landfill Ad Hoc Committee interview the consultants <br />in accordance with the specifications as approved and submit <br />at least the top two firms that they feel best qualified to <br />perform the study to Council for approval. <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />Upon Council approval of a firm and the signing of an <br />agreement, the Landfill Ad Hoc Committee will have the <br />responsibility of working with the consulting firm in the <br />oompleting of the study and reporting the findings to the <br />City Council. <br /> <br /> 3) Enclosure (1) to this resolution contains a copy of the proposal <br />specifications. <br /> <br />The motion for the adopting of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilm~mber Cox and upon vote being taken theron, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers COx, Sorteberg, Reimann and Schlueter <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
